How does The Lens Butler work?

The Lens Butler Says:

“The Lens Butler is a revolutionary contact lens subscription system that works with your practice to provide your patients with timely contact lens shipments every month. In turn, your patients only have to make affordable monthly payments vs. one hefty upfront payment.”

Who orders the contact lenses for the patient?

The Lens Butler Says:

“We do! The Lens Butler will order all contact lenses on your behalf, saving you precious time to tackle other tasks and assist your patients.”

If The Lens Butler purchases all contact lenses, how does my practice retain profits from each sale?

The Lens Butler Says:

“It’s simple. The Lens Butler will automatically rebate all contact lens profits back to your practice on a monthly basis for the duration of the patient’s subscription.”

How can I enroll my patients with The Lens Butler?

The Lens Butler Says:

“Simply log in to The Lens Butler doctor portal and enter the patient’s information, including Rx and payment information, and that’s it! We bill the patient and ship lenses the same time every month for one year. You will get a confirmation email that allows you to double check the order for accuracy. The patient will also get a welcome email from The Lens Butler.”

How are lenses shipped to the patient?

The Lens Butler Says:

“Via USPS or UPS – The patient will receive their tracking number when the lenses are shipped.”

How long does a subscription last?

The Lens Butler Says:

“The subscription is for 12 months and does not automatically renew. The Lens Butler will remind the patient it is time to schedule their annual exam the last three months of the service through our built-in recall system. If the patient wants to re-enroll they will need to do so during their next annual exam.”

Can patients use insurance with The Lens Butler?

The Lens Butler Says:

“Of course! FSA/HSA cards are gladly accepted, and The Lens Butler can schedule payments when the card is loaded if necessary. The Lens Butler does take traditional vision insurance with out-of-network benefits, but we always encourage a dual sale with traditional benefits being used on glasses.”

What if a patient damages a lens and needs a replacement?

The Lens Butler Says:

“The Lens Butler will provide a replacement. If the patient contacts your office for a replacement, please decide how you’d like to handle the request. Many of our partners will offer a trial lens as a replacement, but that is up to you.”

What if we need to update a prescription?

The Lens Butler Says:

“If the doctor changes the patient’s prescription, please enter the change in the doctor portal. The Lens Butler will send the patient’s new lenses within 5 business days. If there is a change in the lens brand, the monthly price will reflect the updated prescription.”

What happens if the patient’s credit card is declined?

The Lens Butler Says:

“The Lens Butler will contact the patient for an alternate form of payment.”
